Welcome to Off Season Training!!
One of the clubs major strengths is our structured training sessions which follow an annual plan delivered by professional coaches.
This plan allows a lot of flexibility so that members can drop in and out of sessions as they see fit and caters for as wide a range of abilities as possible. Historically those who attend club training have made great progress and made friends / found training partners so now is a good time to consider your options for the next year. Why not come and try a session you haven’t done before? Don’t forget we also take card payments at sessions.
The overall theme for the next 2-3 weeks is:
- Aerobic relaxed training.
- Sports specific Strength development

Fusion Triathlon delved into something a little different in September – some Dragon Boat Racing !! A dry day welcomed a few brave Fusioneers with some ancestral viking stock onto the Clyde.
The teams were made up of around 10 paddlers and a drummer. Each team raced three times with the slowest time disregarded (practice makes perfect after all!) and the fastest times went through to the semi-finals and then the Grand Finale to battle it out to become the overall champions! Fusion got to the Grand final but were just pipped to the line by the winner.
Some words from the club organiser Jo Patterson sums it up perfectly:
'Thank you so much for coming along yesterday and braving the elements to so nearly take home the trophy ! Super impressed by the team camaraderie and effort put in by all. Brilliant supporters too! Fusion really is a best club ever! Let's make this a year thing for sure!'

Fusion Triathlon Club held the 2019 Balfron Aquathlon at the weekend there – lots of smiles were had, lots of hard work put down from both competitors, volunteers and parents queuing at the cake stall !!
We hope everyone got something from the experience and hope to welcome you back for more fun next year. In the meantime please find below the results for the weekend

This months race reports are just what Carlberg would do if they did triathlon !!
We have five fabulous and diverse race reports for you – from the sundowner, to a sprint for visually impaired athletes to a bonkers race involving paddles, to two IM Wales write ups. This variety in what we do illustrates the breadth and talent of people who train with Fusion triathlon club and each one makes us proud.
As we move towards the end of the season and they start of a new training year it would be lovely to get a group of seniors, juniors and parents together for a fun day of racing and food afterwards. Please come join us for a fab day of racing and some well earned grub afterwards as one big family friendly club.
Entries close on 11/10/19 – so don’t be wasting any time !!
