ETU Sprint Champs – George Lambie

In summary: Super event. Interesting city. Friendly folk (locals, age groupers, family and friends.) Hyper-efficient organisation. Good company. Excellent food and drink.

Pleased to finish in the top half of my age group. The competition was very impressive. It was all over too soon. I should enter longer events in future.

To see the bike course watch Tour de France Grand Depart time trial on TV this coming Saturday afternoon. I would highly recommend Düsseldorf for an event or even just to visit, explore and hang-out. There are regular inexpensive flights directly from Glasgow. Düsseldorf has an annual marathon in the Spring and a half-marathon in the Autumn. I will definitely be back. Check it out.
