From little acorns

We look through this lens in some shape or form around this time every year!  Being a Fusion triathlete gives you two new years!! There is the calendar new year that all the other mere mortals have, and then there is the Fusion New Year, which you magnificent Fusion triathletes get to enjoy. The club works to an annual training plan, carefully created so that you can be at your best when the race season arrives. Now we know we haven’t had much of a race season this year but that doesn’t stop us planning and crossing our fingers that more races can go ahead next year.

The triathlon season in the UK typically runs from March to September and so from the end of September we enter the off season. This is a perfect time to get back to basics, and we do that by completing a period of base training. In our base training nothing is too hard, we work at a pace that you can sustain and might even sometimes be encouraged to chat! Training is still structured and progressive but we are looking to build your overall base levels of fitness and strength so we can build on that in the spring time when racing starts.
All the sessions will be structured with this in mind. When we aren’t working so hard it lets us think about how we do things. How we run, ride our bikes and hopefully at some point soon, swim.

So it’s time to plant the seeds of your 2021 triathlon season by getting yourself along to some of the club sessions. Share your goals with your coach at a session, or send us a message and let us help you get there.

We have the following training sessions now available (which we hope to expand on in the coming months) to book via here for existing members – if you’re not a member and would like to join or re-join then please do sign up or get in touch for any questions.
