We’d like to thank everyone for the interest shown in our Couch to Triathlon Programme and see who wishes to take the next step ! Come along and hear all about the club / the programme at one of our information sessions and see how you can take one more little tiptoe into your first training session with us – we know you can do it !
As a little teaser you can expect our programme to cover off the following main elements split into three one month blocks of training:
Block 1: We’ll focus on introducing all the main sessions to you and creating habit & consistency in training. Swimming will start with the basics, body positioning / breathing and understanding basic training elements. Your run sessions will start with some drills and focus on efficiency – making your running more enjoyable and making you less prone to injury! As we’re still in winter, your bike sessions will be indoor, we’ll introduce you to our club sessions or if you’re already a gym member suggest some spin classes. This is just about getting you in the saddle, either for the first time or maybe first time in a long time.
Block 2: Now you have the basics we’ll focus a bit more on improving fitness and some of the technical aspects of the sport. Your running will introduce some interval work, getting you running faster but still fun. We’ll take our cycling outside and introduce you to some of the more technical elements of cycling like how to use your gears to make cycling easier (and faster!) and starting / stopping well.
Block 3: In your final block we’ll start to pull it all together and what you do after the programme is finished. We’ll look at how to transition between the disciplines and we’ll look at different ways to measure your progress and how you can continue to get better, go further and faster if you wish. We’ll get you loads of practice running after cycling to get rid of those ‘jelly legs’. We’ll get you doing some more cycling in groups with your training buddies and new friends.
The cost of the programme will be an initial sign on fee followed by pay as you go per session

- A years full membership with Fusion Triathlon Club – you can come along to any club sessions during or after the programme
- First 3 club sessions free.
- Access to Fusion Triathlon members Facebook group and all the support / experience the Fusion Family can bring !
Pay as you go: Swim £5 / Run £3 / Cycling £4. You do as many or as few sessions as you wish.
We are holding the first session on Sunday 26th January from 11:30am – 12:30pm at the Glasgow Club – Place of Art in Bellahouston Park. For those wishing to come along – please reserve your slot below. If we reach capacity for this session we’ll arrange further session the week after and make sure we meet everyone interested in giving it a go!!
