As you should all be aware of by now, our wonderful club turns 10 years old this year.  As part of those celebrations we are holding a birthday party, after all what 10 year old doesn’t want a party?!

As part of these celebrations we will be inviting our sponsors and affiliates along for you to meet and see the people behind the companies who support us, there will be fun and games, music, food, and a very special piece of inflatable fun for all ages that’s sure to get the competitive ones going for it.  Each ticket admits you as a member and an extra non-member along, lets show those who haven’t found us yet what a great club we have here.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you all.  See you at Hillhead Sports Club on Hughenden Road at 12:30 for a 13:00 start on Saturday 22nd June
There’s still 11 slots to fill in the Parkrun volunteer roster for 1st June. We would very much like club members to fill this roster and turn up in club colours. We will be bringing along the club gazebo and encouraging parkrunners to join in a session or two with us to see how great a club we have.

Now’s your chance to give back to the club and show your appreciation for all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to provide you with quality sessions. The more the merrier, lets get loads running too!!

Send an email to victoriahelpers@parkrun.co.uk to volunteer.

Anna McEwen rights on Ken’s epic trip from Gibraltar to Lenzie:

“And they’re off! It’s been a busy few days for team MacEwen in Gibraltar but Ken & Hamish are now on their way north. 3000km. Gibraltar to Glasgow. ‘Between a Rock and a Hard Place’!
Fantastic send off from the Cancer Research Team in Gibraltar and an amazing amount of support from friends & family in the UK! Good luck boys, you got this”

Ken’s currently somewhere north of Valladolid pedalling away – there are plans afoot to welcome his arrival back in Lenzie on Sunday, May 26 at Lenzie Rugby Club.  We’ll update on the exact details nearer the time
