Behind the scenes the club has been planning much for the next 12 months. 2019 is the clubs 10th Anniversary so many activities will be planned. This update will cover training and some planned racing activities.
Fusion Triathlon Club has long prided itself in the delivery of professional coached training structured to allow all members to partake in training with the club and prepare members for improved health and fitness as well as competitions for those choosing to race. To this end the club operates an annual training plan that works in specific blocks with progressive objectives – regular attendance is rewarded with the most progress opportunities but sessions are flexible so that members can dip in and out as suits their lives / plans. Sessions can usually also be tailored to suit by speaking to the coach at a session and regular attenders will get to be known by the coach so the sessions become more adaptable and specific to the individuals needs.
This year we have looked at member requests / needs and are keen to offer more so we have 2 free yoga taster sessions upcoming and this year we are keen to encourage participation in triathlon relays for as many members as possible. Head Coach is working with the club’s social convenor to get further information on this but the idea is to get lots of folk having a go in a friendly team event where we can all help each other out. Social activities will also be incorporated building the ethos of fusion as an all inclusive club that has fun hand in hand with training and racing. As part of this we will run novice open water sessions this year and have activities planned for summer next year to get more people riding their bikes.
